Digipak 1 - The Pretty Reckless

We looked at the Pretty Reckless album, Light Me Up, because it is in our genre and because it is the band we borrowed the song from. 

The image of the young girl gives the album a feeling of innocence, however, when she is paired with the lighter and the leather jacket, we begin to think otherwise. I think the girl is meant to be Taylor Momsen (the lead singer) when she is younger which would help the audience understand her childhood and why she sings about what she does now.

The lighter is reflective of the album name and we liked this idea. We think that we should try to create an image that makes sense when seen with the name.

On the back, the lead singer is walking with the band which gives a sense of equality. However, she is wearing white when the rest of the band is in black. This draws the audiences eye to her which is conventional in all genres. We would like our lead singer to blend in with the band because we would like her to look like part of the band and also to give the impression that she is not superior.
