Digipak 4 - The Kooks

Although they are an indie rock band we thought that analysing this digipack was a good idea.

We thought this was a good idea as their colour scheme is mostly black, red and white. These are the colours we would like to use as they are typical to our genre and they are also used a lot in our music video. It seemed more appropriate to analyse an indie bands rather than a pop artist with the same colour scheme as The Kooks, on the cover, are all concentrating on their instruments rather than the camera. It is almost like they go into their own world when playing.

On the inside of the digipack we see the band all stood together which gives them a sense of equality rather than having the lead singer standing out. We would like to achieve this in our digipack because we would like to show a less feminine side to our music video and would therefore like our lead singer (Jess) to blend in with the band to give the sense that she feels like she belongs.

Also, behind the CD there is an image. We would like to use this in our digipack because we feel that doing this makes the digipack feel complete.
